Office of Financial Aid
We realize that financial aid involves a lot of questions, and our staff is dedicated to assisting students and their families with those questions. Together with the Office of Admission, we work to support the goals of the College: to bring a diverse and talented student body to campus.
Prospective Students
We are excited that you are considering Pitzer! Did you know that Pitzer meets 100% need? We encourage all students interested in receiving financial assistance to apply for aid. Once we receive your application materials, we will review your eligibility for all need-based programs.
Pitzer Opportunity Grant
Our goal is to ensure that financial circumstances never limit academic possibilities, and we continue to seek new ways to make a transformative Pitzer education accessible to all. We are excited to share that, starting in Fall 2025, the Pitzer Opportunity Grant (POG) will provide significant support to help students afford a Pitzer education.
MyinTuition
Interested in Pitzer, but concerned about costs? Start with MyinTuition for a quick estimate that takes one minute to complete. This tool asks six basic financial questions and gives you an early estimate of the amount your family can expect to contribute for one year at Pitzer.
Net Price Calculator
Want a more in depth analysis, use the Net Price Calculator, which takes 20 minutes. The Net Price Calculator (NPC) uses self-reported information and applies Pitzer’s awarding policies to estimate an expected family contribution (EFC). The EFC is used to determine a student’s financial aid eligibility.
Housing and Food
Did you know your housing status can affect your financial aid eligibility? Whether you live on campus, off campus, or at home with family, the cost of attendance varies to reflect realistic expenses for each option. Our budgets are designed to estimate these costs accurately, in line with practices at other local colleges.
Satisfactory Academic Progress
At Pitzer College, we ensure that students receiving federal, state, and institutional funds make steady progress toward their degree. The Office of Financial Aid reviews Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) at the end of each semester to help you stay on course.
